Wrapping Up 2016
2016 is almost over, and we are looking forward to 2017 and serving with our partners at Homecare in Burundi. There have been many challenges in 2016, but the ministry has grown three fold during this time of crisis. So many lives have been touched and changed during this critical time in their country, and God is doing amazing work in and through the staff and new partners within the Christian community there.
Food, poverty, lack of education and the pulling apart of the country continues to increase, but Homecare Ministries continues to reach out to help more families, along with schools and clinics in communities throughout the country by providing food, clean water, shelter and skill training. Prices of basic necessities, such as food, have doubled just in the past week, on top of all the other increases over the past year. When will this all end? We don't know, but we do know that God wants us to keep supporting the families and groups that He has connected us with. He has not given up on Burundi nor forgotten them, and neither have we.
So how can you help? Prayer is always needed. As we talk with Peace, she continually tells us how much the staff and everyone at Homecare and other communities rely on prayer for the Lord to protect and provide. We join them in that prayer and ask that you join as well.
It takes all of us to sustain this ministry, to continue to provide for basic needs, like food and clean water, as well as gospel outreach. We would love to see 100 donors come along side of Hope4Burundi this year and commit to a monthly donation of $100.00 starting January 1, 2017 to help us continue to bring renewed hope and life to Burundi. If you can't do $100.00 a month for 2017, perhaps you can commit to another amount for the 12 months. Whatever God places on your heart will go a long, long way there. There are still a few days left in the current fiscal year if you are still considering end of year giving.
How thankful we are for your prayers and support that have sustained Hope4Burundi and touched so many lives! We and our Burundi family are excited about what God is going to do in 2017; we are full of great anticipation! We pray that you will join us in bringing more hope and healing to Burundi in the coming year; please consider making a monthly commitment and being a change maker in the Heart of Africa.
